How to Brew Your Own Beer

Beer brewing has become increasingly popular because it produceslarge amount of beer forvery little amount of money. There are three things to consider when brewing your own beer from home - equipment, ingredients and procedure.

Equipment Needed: Ingredients

• A twozero quart brew pot &#ninesixsevennine; Water
• Large stirring spoon &#ninesixsevennine; Malted Barley
• A basic tablespoon &#ninesixsevennine; Hops
• Measuring cup &#ninesixsevennine; Yeast
• Glass jar
• Fermenter (plastic bucket)
• Air lock
• Sanitizer
• Thermometer
• Rolling pin


Procedure:

one. PreparingIngredients – Crushmalted barley into suitable sizes using your rolling pin. This will breakgrain into pieces and will extractgoodness ofgrain when it’s inserted into hot water.

two. BoilWort – The ingredients forwort are mixed withamount stated onbeer recipe. This is called“mash”. The mash is mixed together inboiler and hot water is added. The mash is brought toboil for approximately halfhour. Once it’s finished boiling, you must filter outgrains and addhops. Boilinghops will eliminate its bitter flavor. Boilhops for approximately onezero minutes.

three. Fermentation – This ismost important step to beer brewing. Insertyeast intowort and leave it for approximately one week. If you usecorrect amount of yeast, you will notice foam throughoutliquid withinfirst twofour hours. This foam indicates thatbeer is fermenting accordingly.

four. Storage – Store your beer in tanks or package it in bottles or kegs until it is ready for consumption.
